Blue Sky Fostering has an exciting opportunity for an Administrator to join the team in the Hampshire area. This position is part time based at our hub in Romsey.
Who are we?
Blue Sky Fostering is an established Independent Fostering Agency, operating across the south of England, to provide foster placements to children and young people. We have been rated ‘Outstanding’ for five consecutive inspections since 2008.
We provide a number of different services including mainstream fostering for children aged 0-18 and Parent and Child Placements. We also have an established and well regarded Therapeutic Led Care (TLC) service where our team of experienced clinical practitioners work alongside specialist foster carers to provide therapeutic care to children to prevent them moving to residential care.

The Role
Blue Sky Fostering has a brilliant opportunity for a proactive, skilled and organised individual, with previous administrative experience in an office environment, to join the team as an Administrator at our hub in Romsey.
We are looking for dedicated and dependable individual to provide direct administrative support to the Area Manager and Social Work Team at the hub as well as support our Social Work Assistants with planning children’s activity days and carer training. The Administrator will also be responsible for providing a professional and approachable point of contact for foster carers, local authorities, young people and other internal and external stakeholders.
As an Administrator, you will be responsible for undertaking a range of general administration tasks such as producing documents, processing post, filing, photocopying, scanning and updating the company’s CMS/database. You will also be responsible for answering telephone calls in a professional manner and passing on relevant information to social workers and directors in a timely fashion as well as attending meetings, take accurate minutes and producing documents to a deadline. The Administrator will also be involved in producing relevant statistical information where required and ensuring carer and children’s database records are kept up to date.
The successful candidate will need to be able to offer a full reception and hospitality service across the business and to any visitors. You will also need to ensure that the Social Work Team office working environment is maintained to the highest standard of presentation, organisation and health & safety and fire regulation compliance.
